My kitchen counters were the original early-80s beige, complete with stains and burn marks. Not bad. But not good either. You saw the before and afters when we painted the cabinets last summer (NEVER. AGAIN.) Here’s the new countertops!
This is a before of the right side. Ned had pulled up the left side so EVERYTHING was piled on this side for the day, including the dirty dishes.
Half a side done, half a side to go. No stove. Did I mention I had no stove for 2 days?
One side down, one to go. That’s my cat’s butt in the background. If I ever invite you to dinner at my house you may wanna decline.
After screwing up a cut on the left side, Ned finally agreed to have this side cut professionally. For 29 bucks the sink hole was cut and the sides were cut to fit. Gah, should have done that in the first place.
So pretty though, isn’t it? All in all, cost a little over 200 bucks.
