I made this for a specific project yesterday. If you can guess what it is used for (even in a general sense) I will send you a PDF file of 15 vintage valentines that have been shrunk to use in jewelry making projects (or cards, or other mini sized projects). Go ahead and use the comments section and let the guessing begin!

It’s for holding yarn for a KnittyKnoddy type thing – like spool knitter but flat.

Or maybe not. But that’s my guess and I’m sticking to it 🙂

You’re close hope. It does function someone like a spool knitter, but it is used for a different kind of material!

My guess is that you use this for wire in jewelry making. Perhaps to make loops the right size for charms. In any case, it looks like some kind of jig. I love clever jigs–so much better than measuring. My husband is a master jig maker in woodworking.
