Fro-Ho (Frozen Hot Chocolate) by arteesvida

2 ½ cups plus 2 tbs. whole milk

½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

¾ cup sugar


Bring 2 ½ cups milk with cocoa and sugar to a simmer over moderate heat, whisking until cocoa and sugar are dissolved.  Transfer to a bowl and chill, covered, 2 hours.  Pour into a 13 by 9 inch metal baking pan and freeze until solid, about 8 hours.

Let frozen hot chocolate stand at room temperature just until easy enough to break into small pieces, about three minutes, then transfer to a food processor.  Add remaining milk and blend until slushy, about 2 minutes.
