This is a candy recipe from the second book in the Candy Shop Mystery series by Sammi Carter.  The book’s title is Chocolate Dipped Death.  Both books so far in the series have had some yummy candy recipes inside!  This original recipe also calls for 1 cup of raisins, but that’s just wrong.

 I think I’ll make these during the holiday season this year!

 1 package (11 1/2 oz) milk chocolate morsels

1 (14 oz) can of sweetened condensed milk

3 cups of miniature marshmellows

2 cups dry roasted peanuts.

In the top of a double boiler (you know what works in a pinch?  A big pyrex measuring cup resting in a pot of water) over hot but not boiling water, melt chocolate morsels together with sweetened condensed milk.  Remove from heat.

In large bowl, combine the marshmellows, nuts, and whatever you do, NOT the raisins.  Stir in the chocolate mixture.

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto baking sheets lined with waxed paper.  Chill for two hours until firm.  Stoore loosely covered in a cool, dry place.
